Children going to school

Children in a cart drawn by a goat, and sometimes by two, are frequently seen in the streets of Rotterdam, either going to school, or for amusement.
The little party represented in the drawing, had books in the carriage and stopped at a school.

The coachman is also a young boy, it seems. But while the driver wears the traditional black wide-brimmed hat, the cart driver has only a modest cap. (Editor's notes)
